The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) is expected to part ways with Crested Cranes head coach Sheryl Botes, Swift Sports Uganda can reliably confirm.

The South African tactician was appointed as head coach in November, 2023 on a three year employment contract.

She has a year left on her deal but this website has established that FUFA is to relieve her of her duties.

The development comes after Crested Cranes disappointing CECAFA Women’s Championship title defense with defeats Burundi (1-0) and Kenya (4-0).

The Crested Cranes’ only win at the ongoing CECAFA was a 5-0 victory over South Sudan and will end their campaign against Tanzania on Saturday a game that could be Botes’ final game in charge.

Botes is a CAF A and SAFA Pro holder has previously served as the South African U-20 Women’s National Team head coach and SAFA Girls Soccer Academy.
