Savio Kabugo joins FUFA Big League side

Uganda Cranes defender Savio Kabugo has completed his move to FUFA Big League side Lugazi FC on a one year contract.

Kabugo has been a free agent since the start of last year when he left Botswana’s Jwaneng Galaxy.

He has been featuring for Nkima in the Bika Football tournament and Buganda Province in the FUFA Drum in that period.

Kabugo is an experienced defender who has played for the big sides in the country in KCCA FC, URA FC, SC Villa as well as Proline FC.

He played for Congolese giants AS Vita Club and Ethiopia’s Sebeta Kenema FC.

Lugazi FC has been one of the busiest clubs in this primary transfer window having acquired a number of new players and renewed contracts of others.

They signed Latif Kiyemba, Sam Ssemugugu, Ronald Ssempala, Alvin Birungi, Freedom Mungudit, James Okiror, Abraham Opio, Mubarak Mitala, Andrew Odong and Samuel Nsubuga.

Brian Elijah Ssali, Paul Wasswa, Louis Anguti, Derrick Ochen, Muhammad Lubega, Isaac Tamale and Faisal Matovu have signed new contracts.

Lugazi FC will start the new season with a home game against Ndejje University on 29th September.
