Mbale Heroes have completed the signing of former Vipers SC and Maroons attacker Umar Kyebatala.
Swift Sports Uganda understands that Kyebatala has joined Mbale Heroes on a one year employment contract.
He joins the club as a free agent following expiration of his contract at Maroons FC whom he joined at the start of the 2022/23 season from six time Uganda Premier league champions Vipers SC.
Lugazi FC were the other side interested in Kyebatala’s signature this transfer window.
Kyebatala is a former St.Mary’s Secondary school Kitende(SMASK) student whom he helped to the 2019 Copa Coca-cola and FEASSSA triumphs in Jinja and Arusha respectively. He also featured for Kibuli SS in the schools’ competitions before joining SMASK.
His new club Mbale Heroes returned to the Uganda Premier league after nearly 19 years, they finished third on the FUFA Big League table last season.
