SC Villa will continue with their search for a new head coach after the untimely departure of Nemanja Milincic two days after his unveiling.

Immediately after removing Morley Byekwaso, Villa appointed Milincic, as their next head coach but the marriage ended prematurely.

On Wednesday, the Jogoos SC Villa finally confirmed that they had unveiled Serbian coach Milincic before both had signed a contract.

“Now that the dust has settled, Sports Club Villa (“The Club”) informs its fans that its advanced contractual negotiations with Mr. Milincic Nemanja have regrettably been discontinued with immediate effect.”

“While an agreement in principle had been reached and a working relationship had commenced, a formal contract had not yet been finalized.” Read a statement from SC Villa President Omar Mandela

Meanwhile, the club confirmed that the search for a new head coach will continue

“The Club is very deliberate to ensure that it sets a strong foundation for it to be one of the great Clubs and a leading talent conveyor belt on the Continent. The search for a Head Coach for the next season continues and the Club fans shall be updated in due course.”

This website understands that Mandela wants a foreign tactician to take over reins at the record 17-time league champions.

SC Villa has been under six foreign coaches, others are Englishman Geoff Hudson, Spanish Antonio Flores, Greek coach Petros Koukouras, SC Villa after Milutin Micho Sredojevic (2002-04), Srdan Zivojnov (2010-11) and Dusan Stojanovic (2023-24).
