Uganda Cranes defender Elio Capradossi is set for a challenge after his one season stint at AS Citadella.
Capradossi will officially leave Citadella as a free agent as his one year contract comes to an end, according to Padova Sport.
He joined AS Citadella as free agent in the opening half of the season on a one year contract with officially expired on June 30th.
His departure also follows the relegation of the club from Serie B to Serie C in the recently concluded season.
Despite battling as flexor injury mid-way the campaign, Capradossi was a mainstay for Citadella when fully fit and went on to feature in 16 of the 38 possible games.
Born in Uganda, to a Congolese mother and an Italian father, Capradossi made his Uganda Cranes debut last year against Botswana in the World Cup Qualifiers.
He consequently became a fans favorite and played a part as Uganda qualified for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
He has seven caps with the Uganda Cranes having switched allegiance after featuring for Italy in the under age national teams.
Capradossi also previously played for AS Roma, Bari, Spezia, Cagliari, SPAL, Cagliari and Lecco FC.
