Bugerere earned their maiden win of the 2025 Buganda Masaza Cup with 1-0 win over three time competition winners Mawokota in the Masengere group contest at Ntenjeru on Sunday.
Henry Wamala scored the all important goal for Bugerere who moved to six points as Mawokota suffered their first defeat of the campaign.
Mawokota remain on seven points same as Buweekula who beat Kyaddondo 2-1 on Saturday.
In the other Masengere group game, Bulemeezi registered their first win of this term following reshuffles in their coaching staff with Alex Isabirye and Simon Ddungu taking over.
Benon Vianny Kigenyi scored the only goal of the game as Bulemeezi moved to four points in Masengere group.
In Bulange Group, record winners Gomba once again failed to maximize points with a goalless stalemate with Buluuli at Kabulasoke Playground.
Robert Ssewanyana who joined Gomba from Buluuli missed a penalty in the first period.
Buluuli are now on five points while Gomba registered their first point of this year’s term.
In the same group, Buddu and Busujju played out to a 1-1 stalemate with both teams scoring in the closing stages of the game.
Isham Kibirige gave Busujju the lead with two minutes to regulation time before Mike Walaga restored a point for Buddu in added time.
Both Buddu and Busujju are on eight points they have collected in Bulange group after four games.
