Police FC have completed the signing of left back Richard Matovu on a two year contract, Swift Sports reliably understands.
Matovu joins The Cops as a free agent having left Vipers SC following the expiry of his contract.
He spent two seasons at Vipers and won the Uganda Premier League title and the Stanbic Uganda Cup last season.
Matovu comes in with experience to bolster the club’s left back position that heavily relied on Allan Bukenya last season.
He previously featured for BUL FC, Kyetume FC and Arua Hill SC before joining Vipers in July 2023.
As earlier reported, Police FC have already signed Benon Tahomera and Saidi Kyeyune from BUL FC and Express FC respectively.
Goalkeeper Mathias Muwanga has also signed a new contract with the club, as earlier reported.
