SC Villa is set to sign out of contract Lugazi FC midfielder Ali Bayo “Arshavin” in this transfer.
Swift Sports Uganda understands that Bayo has impressed SC Villa head coach Zeljko Kovacevic at the trials being conducted by the club in Bweyogerere.
In case the deal materializes, Bayo will be making a return to the 17-time Uganda Premier league champions where he didn’t impress in his first stint.
When he left SC Villa, Bayo found solace at NEC FC in 2023 helping them gain topflight division football in the 2022/23 season.
He later joined Lugazi FC where he played a vital role for the side helping them secure UPL football after finishing in the top three positions in the 2023/24 FUFA Big League.
Bayo is a former St. Mary Kitende player who also featured for Lungujja Galaxy in the Kampala Regional League.
