Former Kyetume FC player Joshua Kigozi is in advanced talks with newly promoted Uganda Premier League side Calvary FC for the role of the fitness coach.
Swift Sports understands that Kigozi will be awarded a contract of two years at the newly promoted side.
If the deal materialises, he will be joining Jimmy Kintu who is set to be appointed as the new head coach.
Kigozi has previously worked with Kintu in the same role at St Noa Girls School.
In fact, the two helped St Noa Girls School earn promotion to FUFA Women Super League.
Kigozi as a player featured for Luweero United FC, Seeta United FC and Kyetume FC. He also played for Bulemeezi in the Masaza Cup tournament.
Calvary FC earned promotion to the UPL last season after emerging winners of the FUFA Big League 2024-25 season with 52 points.
In the same season, Lawrence Olaboro of Calvary FC was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP).
