KCCA FC have completed the signing of goalkeeper Charles Lukwago on a two year deal, Swift Sports understands.

Lukwago has been a free agent after his employment contract with South African second tier side Venda Academy FC expired in June.

Lukwago was in advanced stages of joining Siwelele FC (formerly known as SuperSport United), another South African side but the move fell through in the closing stages.

He returns to KCCA, a side he played for between 2017-2021 before joining Ethiopian giants St. George.

Lukwago’s homecoming, boosts the KCCA goalkeeping department that heavily relied on Mutwalib Mugolofa last season.

He is a tried and tested goalkeeper who has also had a spell with the national team and several clubs in the Uganda Premier League.

Lukwago previously played for Lweza, Victoria University, Proline FC among others as well as Ethiopia’s Hawassa City.

KCCA have so far unveiled Enock Walusimbi, Rogers Mugisha, Lazaro Bwambale, Ivan Ahimbisibwe and Herbert Achai in the ongoing transfer window.
