Vipers SC will host Namibia’s African Stars in the return leg of their CAF preliminary round contest on Saturday under the lights of St.Mary’s Stadium in Kitende.

The Venoms won the first leg fixture 1-0, courtesy of a Hillary Mukundane first half goal.

They will be aiming at completing the job against the Namibian side to keep their dream of another Group stage qualification alive.

Vipers head coach Ivan Jacky Minnaert revealed that they have no injury concerns and expects a full to capacity Kitende

“We expect a full house at St Mary’s Kitende and we know the fans will push us”

“We have all the players available. There are about 30 quality players from whom we have to pick the match day squad. There are no injury concerns.” Stated the Belgian

Vipers will be without Usama Arafat who is yet to be licensed.

African Stars head coach Bob Mafoso is optimistic that his charges can overturn the result at Kitende.

“Our team is prepared. There are no injuries to worry about. I am happy with the squad we have. Only now the tactical side is left as we get closer to the game. We need to take the game to them.Every-one of us knows the significance of this game. 1-0 score is not the most secure. Football needs discipline. Vipers is a strong team with the quality to compete but we are ready to push them.” Said Mafoso

The aggregate winner between the two sides will face Zambia’s Power Dynamos or Ivory Coast’s ASEC Mimosas in the second preliminary round.
