KCCA FC will be seeking for consecutive wins when they welcome Lugazi FC under the lights of Lugogo on Thursday night.

The 13-time league champions beat SC Villa 2-1 in their previous game at Mandela National Stadium before the international break.

Lugazi FC on the other hand lost their previous encounter 2-1 to new league entrants Entebbe UPPC FC.

Only two games have been played between the two teams, with KCCA FC managing one win while the other meeting ended in a draw.

In fact their previous meeting at Lugogo saw KCCA FC thrash Lugazi 5-0.

KCCA FC co-coach Jackson Magera believes home advantage will help his side maximize points

“This is our home, and we have to show that on the field of play. We respect Lugazi, they are a different team this season than the one we faced last year. Our mentality must be correct with discipline, intensity, and focus for 90 minutes. The five goals we scored last time are history. We must earn the right to win again.” Said Magera

Lugazi’s Francis Mugerwa has warned his players ahead of their visit to Lugogo

“The players are in good shape and we are ready for this game. We lost focus in our previous outing and ended up throwing away all the three points but we took that as a learning opportunity.”

“This time we need to be on top of our game with high concentration levels, and our game reading should be ahead of the opponents by miles. Therefore, our minds are going to be alert to match the opponent.” Said Mugerwa who previously featured for KCCA FC
