Midfielder Taddeo Lwanga has left Uganda Premier League champions Vipers for Kenyan side AFC Leopards.

Lwanga leaves Vipers after just one season in which he won the league title. He has signed a two year deal with AFC Leopards.

He returned to Vipers as a free agent at the start of last season following his departure at Rwanda’s APR.

The Uganda Cranes midfielder played for Vipers between 2017-19 before joining Egyptian side Tanta Sports Club.

He went on to play for Simba SC and Djibouti moneybags Arta Solar7 before joining APR FC.

Locally, Lwanga kick-started his career at Express FC before joining SC Villa in 2016 and eventually moved to Vipers.

AFC Leopards is also the home for former Express forward Samuel Ssenyonjo who joined them at the start of last season. They finished second on the Kenya Premier League table with 64 points they collected last term, five below league winners GorMahia
