NEC FC head coach Hussein Mbalangu has been suspended by the club for a period of two months, this website has learnt.
Mbalangu’s suspension stems from his involvement in the Masaza Cup where he has been serving as one technical people of this year’s finalists Ssingo.
Mbalangu’s suspension comes after NEC FC suffered an early exit from the CAF Confederation Cup courtesy of Kenya’s Nairobi United.
The club is also winless in the first two games of the season having played two draws against URA FC and most recently Police FC.
The Die Hards surrendered a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 with Police FC in their most recent league game last Saturday at Lugogo.
James Odoch, who is Mbalangu’s immediate assistant, is now in charge of the team in Mbalangu’s absence.
The Die Hards will play against Entebbe UPPC FC in their next game on Saturday 25th October at Bugonga Fisheries.
