Ronald Ssempala netted a hat-trick for Lugazi FC as they swept aside Young Elephants 4-1 in their FUFA Big League game at home on Sunday.
Ssempala fired Lugazi into the lead in the fourth minute before doubling their advantage in the 40th minute.
The forward completed his hat-trick in the 55th minute to send the home fans into delight.
Samuel Ssemugugu put the cherry on the icing of the cake with for Lugazi who are now at the cusps of topflight football. They now need one more win to gain Uganda Premier league promotion.
Lugazi FC are second on the FUFA Big League table with 47 points, three behind leaders Police FC who sealed promotion after their 2-1 win over Onduparaka FC at Kavumba.
