Uganda Cubs off to Dubai for residential training Camp ahead of 2025 U-17 World Cup

The Uganda U17 Men’s National Team ( UgandaCubs) has set for Dubai, United Arab on Tuesday for a residential training camp in preparation for their FIFA U17 World Cup Qatar 2025, scheduled to take place from 3rd -27th November.

The contingent of 38 people has 26 players and 12 officials departed for Dubai with FUFA Executive Committee Member Rasoul Ariga as the Leader of Delegation.

The Cubs will spend 10 days in camp before their historic Qatar World Cup early next month.

Meanwhile, the final squad of 21 players for the World Cup will be named at the end of the camp.

The Cubs first thrashed Amus College 5–0 in a practice match played on Monday 20th October at FUFA Stadium, Kadiba.

Head coach Brian Ssenyondo was impressed with how his charges performed during the domestic training

“I am impressed with how the players are adapting and showing maturity, especially in implementing our attacking principles in the final third. The improvement game by game gives us confidence heading into the World Cup.”

Uganda is in Group K alongside Canada, Chile and France. Uganda’s opening fixture is against Canada on 5th November 2025.
