NEC beaten in absence of suspended Mbalangu

NEC FC’s poor run continued with a 1-0 defeat away to Entebbe UPPC on Saturday at Bugonga Fisheries.

James Odoch was in charge of NEC FC as head coach Hussein Mbalangu began his two-month club suspension.

Samuel Junior Kawawa netted the all important goal for Abdallah Mubiru coached side who returned to winning ways since their victory over Lugazi FC.

Kawawa’s goal came at the hour mark when he netted a perfect Gift Odong perfect cross.

Entebbe UPPC held on to smile to their second victory of the campaign and are now on seven points in four games they have played.

NEC FC remain winless this term and are 13th on the log with two points. They now turn focus to their forthcoming fixture against Mbarara City next Saturday.

Meanwhile, Mubiru’s Entebbe based side will host reigning league champions Vipers on November, 1st 2025.
