SC Villa returned to winning ways with a 2-1 win over BUL FC on Thursday at Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku.
Skipper Ronald Ssekiganda and Hakim Kiwanuka scored in either half for the reigning league champions who in the contest after a 1-0 defeat to Mbale Heroes.
Dickson Matama struck a consolation for Abbey Kikomeko’s side who remain winless this term.
BUL who finished second last season have managed just two points this term in the three games they have played.
Ssekiganda gave the Jogoos the lead early in the first period heading home a well delivered Kiwanuka cross.
Before Ssekiganda’s goal, Kiwanuka had two decent opportunities to fire the hosts into the lead but failed to hit the target on both occasions.
In the second period, Kiwanuka doubled Villa’s advantage with an audacious overhead kick.
Matama pulled one back for BUL FC in the 64th minute whose horrible start to the campaign continues.
SC Villa surged to maximum points and are now second on the table with six points. The Jogoos will next make a short trip to Kitende to face off with Vipers SC on Saturday, 5th October while BUL FC next host Mbarara City FC in Lugazi.
