URA FC have intensified their search for a new head coach following the departure of Alex Isabirye.

As earlier reported by this website yesterday morning, URA FC parted ways with Isabirye alongside his assistants Baker Kasule, Patrick Asiku and Damba Jamil.

Swift Sports understands that club hierarchy has Hussein Mbalangu and Morley Byekwaso as the top candidates for the vacant head coach position.

Mbalangu is a free agent after parting ways with NEC FC about a fortnight ago whereas Byekwaso’s last assignment was guiding Uganda Cranes to the quarter finals of the CHAN tournament in August.

Byekwaso last coached SC Villa at club level in June this year before the start of the current season.

The Tax Collectors have already named Edward Golola as their interim coach ahead of their next game against Buhimba Saints United on Wednesday at Nakivubo.
