The Uganda Parliamentary Netball Team has outclassed Kenya 72-12 at the ongoing East African Community (EAC) Inter Parliamentary Games.
Team Uganda outshined Kenya 72-12 at the MTN Indoor Arena in Lugogo on Sunday, 7th December 2025.
Hon. Sarah Kayaki Netalisile the Woman Member of Parliament representing the people of Namisindwa District along with Hon.Juliet Kakande Nakabuye of Masaka City were the top shooters for team Uganda.
Netball will resume on Tuesday when Burundi entertain South Sudan.
Uganda Netball team will return to action on Wednesday against South Sudan at the Makerere University Indoor Arena.
Meanwhile in Basketball, the Uganda Basketball Team defeated Kenya 40–20 at the EAC.
Captain Hon. Suzan Amero led the charge once again, guiding Uganda to a dominant win with 16 points. Hon Connie Galiwango followed with 7 points while Hon. Nakimuli Hellen Added 6 points.
In Athletics, Hon. Julius Acon (No. 473) powered to victory with 5:23.5 in the men’s 1500m, edging Kenya’s Titus Lotee (5:24.0).
John Kagucha of Kenya comes in 3rd with a time of 5:54.08.
Uganda’s Hon. Christine Akello (No. 499) stormed to victory in the Women’s 1500m category at Namboole with a time of 8:30.
Kenya’s Hon. Phylis Barioo finished second while Uganda’s Hellen Auma was third, and Gorreth Namugga finished fourth.
