FUBA has announced the Men’s National Basketball team, Silverbacks Squad that will feature at the second window of the 2025 Afrobasket Qualifiers.
Silverbacks star player Ishmail Wainwright who missed the first window in February last year in Tunisia returns to the squad.
Wainwright who features for Hapoel Tel Aviv will boost the Silverbacks team who secure a win against Nigeria and lost to both Cape Verde and Libya to finish third in their group in February last year.
Skipper Jimmy Enabu also returns to the team after missing the first round due to work engagements while Arthur Kaluma misses out due to College studies in Texas.
Uganda will be seeking to secure a place in next year’s Afrobasket tournament in Angola with their final six games set for February 21st to 23rd. The top three teams each group prevail to the final tournament.
