Vipers cruised to a 3-1 win over BUL FC on Saturday at St.Mary’s Stadium in Kitende to close the gap on table leaders KCCA FC.
The Venoms needed second half goals from Enock Ssebaggala, Abdul Karim Watambala and Usama Arafat to overcome the Eastern giants.
Jerome Kiirya struck for BUL FC who succumbed to a fourth straight defeat.
Ssebaggala gave the home side the lead in three minutes after the recess before Kiirya levelled matters for the visitors in the 55th minute.
Watambala converted from the spot to restore Vipers lead in the 62nd minute.
Usama put the seal on Vipers win with the third goal in the 64th minute.
BUL have now lost four games in a row since they had their 25-match unbeaten run ended by Kitara last month.
They are 12th on the Uganda Premier League table with 10 points, just three above the drop zone.
Vipers are now second on the league standings with 21 points, just two points below KCCA FC but Ivan Jacky Minneart’s side have played a game less.
