KCCA FC midfielder Brain Jjara is a transfer target for two Norwegian sides Molde and Rosenborg RBK, Swift Sports Uganda understands.
The KCCA FC defensive midfielder was the engine of the Uganda Cubs at their historic U-17 World Cup campaign that was held in Qatar last year. He featured in all the games for the Cubs as they reached the round of 16 stage.
During the 2025 U-17 global tournament, the box-to-box midfielder caught the eye of scouts from both clubs and are both battling for his signature this transfer window.
Jjara is represented by Geoffrey Kayemba Solo who in November last year hinted on a possible transfer for the player to Europe.
Jjara’s breakthrough came in 2024 when he was handed his senior debut at KCCA by coach Abdallah Mubiru in the absence of then suspended Joel Sserunjogi against Maroons, a game KCCA won 5-0.
Rosenborg RBK, is a Norwegian professional football club from Trondheim that plays in Eliteserien. The club has won a record 26 league titles, a shared record 12 Norwegian Football Cup titles and have played more UEFA matches than any other Norwegian team.
Molde Fotballklubb is a football club based in Molde, Norway and competes in the top flight of Norwegian football.
Founded on 19 June 1911, the club was originally known as International and changed its name to Molde in 1915. Molde are five-time league champions (2011, 2012, 2014, 2019 and 2022) and six-time Norwegian Cup winners (1994, 2005, 2013, 2014, 2022 and 2023), and have finished second in the league a further eleven times. Molde is one of only three Norwegian clubs to have participated in the UEFA Champions league.
Manchester United and Manchester City greats Ole Gunnar Solskjær and Erling Haaland have both respectively featured for Molde.
