Ugandan striker John Paul Dembe has completed a move to Czech Republic topflight club Sigma Olomouc on an undisclosed fee from Swedish giants BK Hacken.

Dembe has spent a period of two and half years at Hacken following his move from KCCA and impressively came of age.

He played a total of 55 games for Hacken across all competitions, scoring 12 goals and providing one assist in the process.

The budding striker scored four goals in the 24 league games he played for Hacken last year.

“I’m happy to be here and that I’m already a Sigma player. I’m looking forward to meeting my new teammates and joining the training. I’m excited that a club with such ambitions as Sigma has reached out to me. It’s another important step in my career,” said Dembe upon his unveiling.

“My goal is to work hard, continue to improve and help the team as best I can. I believe that together we will be successful,” He added.

Dembe has already joined Sigma Olomouc’s training camp in Marbella, Spain as preparations for the second round of the season intensify.

Sigma Olomouc, winners of the Czech Republic Cup last season, are also competing in the UEFA Conference League this season.

Sigma Olomouc will lock horns with Swiss side FC Lausanne Sport in the knockout playoff of the UEFA Conference League next month.

Dembe will be the second Ugandan in the Czech Republic Chance League this following Aziz Kayondo who plays for Slovan Liberec.
