Tanzania Premier League Singida Big Stars have sacked Ugandan coaches Matia Lule and Stephen Billy Kiggundu, Swift Sports Uganda understands.

Lule has been serving as the assistant coach at the Tanzanian outfit while Kiggundu has been the goalkeepers coach.

The development comes days after the club head coach Hans Van der Pluijm resigned from the role.

The Dutchman and the Ugandan duo managed the club during the previous campaign.

They led Singida Big Stars to a fourth place finish on the Tanzania Premier league table last season. They garnered 55 points in 30 league games.

Former Kaizer Chiefs coach Ernst Middendorp will replace Van der Pluijm at Singida.

Lule joined Singida at the start of last season after leaving Mbeya City whom he had served as head coach for two years.

Kiggundu also joined the club after leaving Uganda Premier league side URA FC.
