Kigezi Homeboyz have confirmed the signing of midfielder Eric Junior Akol from fellow FUFA Big League side Onduparaka FC on a two year contract.
Akol is the club’s third signing in the ongoing transfer window after winger Mike Walaga and Abonga Dominic acquired from Mbarara City and South Sudan’s Koryom FC respectively.
Akol brings valuable experience to the Kigezi Homeboyz squad having previously played for Blacks Power, Ndejje University, Tooro United and Somalia’s Heegan SC.
The illustrious midfielder has experienced his eagerness to contribute to the club’s success with a promotion to the Uganda Premier League in sight.

Akol’s arrival further strengthens the club’s midfield department that also has Enock Tumwesigye, Shakidu Mbaziira, Denis Alioni, Kemis Rwothomio, Jonathan Tahinduka and Nkurunungi Ashirafu.
The Sadick Sempigi coached side are currently second on the FUFA Big League table with 25 points accumulated from the first 15 games played.
Kigezi Homeboyz will face Lugazi Nabugabo United FC in the Stanbic Uganda Cup round of 64 on Tuesday 10th February in Lugazi.
