Uganda Premier table leaders Vipers SC will be seeking to extend their grip at the summit when they host NEC FC under the lights of Kitende on Tuesday.

The Venoms also had their leas cut to two points following their 1-1 stalemate with Alex Isabirye’s BUL FC.

NEC on the other hand began the second round with a comfortable 3-1 win over KCCA FC in the Lugogo derby last week with former Vipers forward Richard Basangwa causing the demage.

Victory over KCCA FC saw NEC extend their unbeaten run to seven matches accross all competitions.

The Badru Kaddu coached side will look up to former Vipers players Basangwa, Siraje Ssentamu, Paul Mucureezi, Joseph Dhata and Ibrahim Kiyemba for maiden victory at Kitende.

Vipers will have their hopes in Abdul Karim Watambala who has scored six goals in his five previous league matches for the Kitende based side. Enock Ssebaggala will be facing his former paymasters while Usama Arafat is the other player expected to threaten NEC defence.

Vipers has managed two wins against NEC, losing once and two games have ended in stalemates. This season, the two sides played out to a 1-1 draw at Lugogo.
