Kitara FC have signed Uganda Cranes striker Shaban Muhammad on a two year contract, Swift Sports understands.

Shaban returns to the Uganda Premier League as a free agent following his departure from Ethiopia Bunna FC a week ago.

Shaban’s arrival is a statement of intent and a huge boost for Kitara who have increasing hopes of challenging for the league title.

The Wasswa Bbosa coached side currently sits three points behind table leaders Vipers SC who have played a game more.

Shaban is regarded as one of the most prolific strikers in the country and his acquisition relieves the team’s scoring burden from Patrick Kaddu.

He is a proven goal getter having exhibited his scoring prowess with Onduparaka FC and KCCA FC in two different spells each.

Shaban has also previously played for Vipers SC, Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca and Libyan sides Al Hilal Benghazi and Al Anwar.
