Kitara FC returned to winning ways with a narrow 1-0 win over Mbarara City FC at Rwamwanja Stadium in Kamwenge district on Tuesday.
Edson Agondeze scored the all important goal for the Royals in the Western derby.

His goal came in the ninth minute of the contest at Rwamwanja Stadium.
The Wasswa Bbosa coached side came into the game after a 1-1 stalemate with UPDF last week but victory in Kamwenge keeps them within reach of table leaders Vipers.
Striker Patrick Kaddu made a return to the Kitara team after serving his one match suspension at UPDF but couldn’t finish the contest as he was replaced by Chrispus Asiki just after the break.
Kitara prevailed to maximum points and now just a point of Uganda Premier League table leaders Vipers on 43 points. The Ankole Lions on the other hand remain 13th with 15 points.
