Ndugwa on target as BUL overcomes Buhimba

BUL FC needed a Karim Ndugwa sole strike to overcome Buhimba United Saints as the two teams battled on Tuesday at the Royals Park, Butema.

In a game of limitted opportunities, experienced striker Ndugwa scored the only goal of the game to give Alex Isabirye’s men maximum points.

Ndugwa headed home a perfect Richard Okello’s delivery from a free kick in the 89th minute.

BUL go into 8th place on 29 points following Tuesday’s win while Buhimba remain just a place above the drop zone on 15 points.

Meanwhile, Maroons edged bottom-placed Calvary 1-0 at Midigo Primary School Playground with Ivan Asaba scoring the only goal.

Elsewhere, Police edged SC Villa 1-0 in Kamwokya, while Kitara FC earned slim win in the Western Derby, with a 1-0 win over Mbarara City at Rwamwanja Stadium.
