Uganda Cranes international friendly matches against Bahrain and Madagscar which were scheduled for this month in Antalya Turkey have been cancelled due to unforeseen reasons, Swift Sports Uganda understands.
Last month, Uganda Cranes head coach Paul Joseph Put sent invitations to several foreign based players notifying them about the two international friendly matches in Turkey.
The team’s preparatory camp was scheduled for Monday, 23rd March in Antalya Turkey and the team was to reside at the Sense De Luxe Hotel and Emir Sports complex in Turkey.
Uganda was to lock horns with Bahrain on Thursday 26th March before facing off with Madagascar on 31st March, both games were to be played in Antalya, Turkey
On January, 19th 2026 Bahrain was ranked 90th in the FIFA rankings and are managed by Dragan Talajic with Sayed Dhiya Saeed as their captain.
Sayed Mohammed Jaffer with 163 caps in the nation’s most capped player, just like Uganda they have never qualified for the World Cup.
Madagscar on the other hand are coached by Corentin Martins with Rayan Raveloson as their captain. They are currently ranked 104th with their highest came in December 1992 when they were ranked 74.
