Kampala University (KU) has secured a quarterfinal slot in the 2025/26 Pepsi University Football League (UFL) after a 2-0 win over Kampala International University (KIU) at FUFA Kadiba Stadium in Mengo.
Samuel Ayebare and Gideon Nsubuga scored in either half for Kampala University who cemented a place in the last eight.
Kampala University is now top in Group A with 13 points following their victory over Kampala International University.
Ayebare gave KU the lead in the 37th minute before Nsubuga sealed the win in the final minutes of the contest.
Meanwhile, reigning champions Uganda Martyrs University (UMU) also qualified for the quarter finals with a 2-1 victory on the road over University of Kisubi (UniK) in Kisubi.
Ronald Obedgiu scored early into the game from a free kick before completing his brace in the 27th minute.
Peter Bukenya pulled back a goal for UniK in the 54th minute.
UMU also qualified to the quarter finals with 11 points, joining KU from group A.
The other qualified teams already to the quarter final include Muteesa 1 Royal University, Bugema University and St Lawrence University.
