SC Villa midfielder Elvis Ngonde could be on his way out of the club with his current employment contract expiring in at the end of the season.

Sources reveal that the midfielder could be ready for departure after being demoted from first choice to substitute.

He joined the record Uganda Premier League champions at the start of the 2023/24 season from Gaddafi FC on a three year deal.

In that same season, the versatile midfielder helped the Jogoos end their 20-year title drought.

Ngonde was also part of the Uganda Cranes 2024 CHAN team that reached the quarterfinal stage of the tournament co-hosted in Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania.

Ngonde is not the only SC Villa player with an eye on the exit. Charles Lwanga is among those with his contract also coming to an end in June this year.

SC Villa is currently fourth on the league table with 41 points and will next face Happy Boyz Kagaba in the Stanbic Uganda Cup quarterfinals on Easter Monday.
