Acting Kayima Oweek.Hassan Kagga has unveiled a nine man committee to lead the three time Masaza Cup winners Mawokota in this year’s tournament.
Oweek.Kagga made the confirmation at the Ssaza headquarters in Kamengo on Thursday evening.
Hon.John Bosco Lubyayi Seguya takes the position of the team manager and he will work alongside Ronald Kavuma who is the Chairperson and Nathan Kivumbi the vice Chairperson.
Solomon Mwanja is the General Secretary/ Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Swaibu Kiyingi takes the role of the technical director.
The treasurer is Francis Kidaaga, Ssengooba Nicholas is the team doctor while the safety and security officer is John Agaba.
Hassan Wasswa will head the media and communications team.
In the previous edition Mawokota lost to Ssingo 1-0 in a two legged quarter final. They are three time Masaza Cup champions having won the competition in 2005, 2007 and 2013.
Buweekula defeated Ssingo 1-0 to win the previous edition courtesy of Alex Taremwa in the first ever Masaza Cup final to be played at Hamz Stadium in Nakivubo since the 2013 edition.
