St. Mary’s Kitende will take on Kyaddondo SS in the Wakiso region football final on Tuesday, 14th April at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium in Wakiso.
Kitende overcame Aiden College Ndejje 3-0 in the semifinal that was held Champions Stadium in Mwererwe on Sunday with Jordan Tugume scoring a brace and Denis Kisiriko adding the other.
In the other semifinal, Kyaddondo SS needed a 4-2 penalty shootout win to eliminate reigning National Champions Buddo SS after a goalless draw in normal time.
Bashir Edema, Danstan Wasswa, Rafael Masuudi and Thomas Ogenda scored Kyaddondo’s four penalties while Joseph Kakooza failed to score from 12 yards.
Buddo penalty scorers were Abdul Shakur Babi and Ronald Ssegirinya while Zangi Okello and Ibrahim Wayita had theirs saved by Kyaddondo custodian Ashiraf Lukyamuzi.
On Tuesday, Aiden College Ndejje who secured a slot in this year’s National finals due in Lira next month will battle Buddo SS in the third place playoff.
Kitende, Greenlight Islamic Secondary, Madina Islamic, Kyaddondo SS, Aiden College, Buddo SS will also represent Wakiso region in the nationals.
Meanwhile, St Noa Zzana will battle Rines SS in the Girls final while the bronze medal match will be between Boston High and Light High School Seguku.
