The USSSA Kampala Region Qualifiers in the boys category officially climaxed on Tuesday at Hamz Stadium in Nakivubo.
The Kampala Region final was contested between Lubiri SS and Kibuli SS who played out to a goalless stalemate in normal time with the winner decided on penalties.
The final was graced by the USSSA President Justus Mugisha along with some members of his executive
Lubiri SS prevailed 5-3 on penalties to overcome 11-time national champions and clinch the Kampala Region title.
Following the climax of the qualifiers, five teams will represent Kampala at the national boys football championship due in Lira next Month.
Lubiri SS, Kibuli SS, Kawempe Muslim, Kazo Hill College and Uganda Martyrs are the five teams that will represent Kampala in Lira.
Meanwhile, Kawempe Muslim won the Girls title after a 2-1 win over Uganda Martyrs Lubaga in the Girls final at the Hamz Stadium in Nakivubo.
