The FUFA competitions department has confirmed that the Stanbic Uganda Cup semifinal draw will be held on Thursday, 16th April at Umoja House in Nakasero.

The draw will comprise four time competition winners Vipers SC, nine-time champions SC Villa, 2014 winners URA FC and 2024 champions Kitara FC.

Vipers are the reigning champions of the competition and needed a 4-3 shootout win to eliminate NEC FC at the quarterfinal stage following a goalless stalemate.

Villa overcame regional League side Happy Boys Kagaba, thanks to a Andrew Otim sole goal while Kitara FC thrashed joint ten competition winners Express 3-0 in their quarterfinal contest.

URA FC needed a comeback win to dent KCCA FC’s silverware hopes when they advanced 4-2 on penalties after a 2-2 draw in normal and extra-time.

Ironically it was the same result they registered the last time the tax collectors won the competition in 2014.

The semifinal stage will be played on home and away basis with the aggregate winners prevailing to the final of the 52nd edition. The winner of the competition represents Uganda at the CAF Confederation Cup.
