UPDF boosted their survival chances with the 5-2 thrashing of BUL on Tuesday at FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru.

The Army side swept away Alex Isabirye’s men in a 5-2 win. Emmanuel Ocen struck a brace with Ivan Bogere, Faridi Rashid and Enrique Lubwama scoring UPDF goals.

Denis Ssewagudde and Hilary Onek netted the two goals for the home side.

This was the biggest win for the Bombo based outfit since their 4-2 win over Tooro United in November 2021.

The army side under the stewardship of Alex Gitta went into the halftime breather leading 4-1.

Victory sees UPDF move to 12th position with 20 points and now have a five-point gap in the relegation battle while BUL remain eighth on 31 points.
