Uganda Premier League table leaders Vipers SC will be seeking to return to winning ways when they visit Buhimba United Saints at Royal Park Butema on Tuesday.
The Venoms drew 1-1 away to SC Villa and had also played out to a goalless stalemate with Kitara FC. They are top of the table with 52 points, four above second placed KCCA FC.
Against Buhimba Jacky Ivan Minnaert’s men can’t afford to drop more points in their pursuit of a eighth league title.
They face a side that is winless in the last five straight matches and lost 2-1 loss to Entebbe UPPC in their last game.
Vipers will extend their lead at the summit with a win and pray Entebbe UPPC do them a favour against KCCA this evening in Bugonga.
Vipers won the first round meeting 4-0 at St. Mary’s stadium, Kitende with Milton Karisa (brace), Abubaker Walusimbi and Karim Watambala scoring the four goals.
