Kyaggwe County chief Owek. Matovu Vincent Bintubizibu and the management team committee have unveiled the technical team for the 2026 Masaza Cup tournament.
Ronald Ssali will replace Simon Peter Mugerwa who last year led Kyaggwe to the semifinal stage but will not be eligible to take on the mantle this term since he is occupied at Lugazi FC.
It should be noted that FUFa decided that coaches who are currently employed in the Uganda Premier League and FUFA Big League are not allowed to serve in the schools and Masaza Cup competitions.
As earlier reported by this website, Ssali who previously served at Bulemeezi and Buweekula will be the man to steer Kyaggwe during the 2026 tournament.
He will be assisted by Yassa Abdul, Ssekiziyivu Juma and Kyeswa William while Asadu Bugembe is the goalkeeping coach.
Denis Kizito alias Deman Denol who works as the fitness coach at Lugazi FC will serve in the same capacity at Kyaggwe.
Kizito also worked as fitness coach with the Uganda U17 national boys team that reached the quarterfinals of the World Cup in Qatar last year.
Ssali is also the head coach at Bukedea Comprehensive whom he led to the maiden East African boys’ football title last year. He also worked at St Mary’s Kitende in the Schools competitions.
Kyaggwe have never won the prestigious competition and their best performances came in 2024 when they reached the final losing to Buddu at Namboole.
