St. Mary’s Boarding Secondary School, Kitende, have clinched the 2026 USSSA Girls’ Basketball Champions after their 49-32 victory over their arch rivals St. Noa Girls Zzana in the final held at Seroma Christian High School on Thursday.
The final was graced by FUBA President Nasser Sserunjogi as Kitende triumphed over their nemesis.

Kitende had a commanding 20-6 lead at the climax of the first quarter and went into the halftime breather leading 34-15.
Kitende cruised to the title with a 49-32 score and will represent Uganda at the East Africa Games due in August.
St.Noa who missed their key players in Maxine Modesta Anyango and Adikini due to injury will also represent Uganda at East Africa games as well.
Meanwhile, Nabisunsa Girls overcame hosts Seroma High School with a 50-42 victory to smile to a bronze medal. Both schools book tickets to the East Africa games due in Tanzania.
