Police FC and Vipers SC played out to a goalless during their Uganda Premier League encounter at Police Arena Kira Road, Kamwokya on Tuesday.
Before Tuesday’s stalemate, Vipers had won ten consecutive league games against Police and were seeking their 11th win as well as extending their grip at the top.
Vipers also came into this contest at the back of a 1-1 draw with URA FC at Kitende and Police lost to Calvary.
Charles Bbaale had a chance to give the hosts an early lead but Kevin Dasylva blocked his effort early into the game.
Karim Watambala had a brilliant opportunity to fire the visitors into the lead but his failed to hit the target.
Just after the recess, Beyuku had his effort hit the woodwork before Watambala’s effort on the rebound was cleared off the line by Richard Matovu.
Enock Ssebagala thought he had given Vipers the lead after Usama had his effort from the free kick kiss the crossbar with the former NEC midfielder netting on the rebound but his goal was flagged offside.
Despite back to back draws, the Venoms remain on top of the log with 61 points while Police are seventh with 45 points in 28 league games.
