Lugazi FC have appointed Abbey Kikomeko Bogere as their new head coach, Swift Sports Uganda can reliably confirm.
Kikomeko has been clubless since his departure at BUL FC in December last year but this website has established that he has signed a two year deal with Lugazi ahead of the 2026/27 season.
He replaces Simon Peter Mugerwa who was sacked by the club after the climax of last season.
Kikomeko is expected to name his assistant coach at Lugazi following the departure of Robert Sekweyama who served as Mugerwa’s assistant last term.

Kikomeko won two FUFA Super 8 trophies with BUL FC in 2023 and 2024. He also led the side to second place finish during the 2023/24 League campaign.
He also previously coached Busoga United FC, a team he helped gain promotion in 2016 and also served at Mbale Heroes.
Lugazi FC finished in 13th position on the Uganda Premier League table last campaign with 25 points as they survived relegation.
