Ngabo appointed as Ntugasaze head coach

Newly promoted Uganda Premier League side Ntugasaze FC have named Pius Ngabo as their head coach for the forthcoming 2026/27 season.

Ngabo will be entrusted with helping the side stay in the topflight division during their maiden season.

He will work with former Calvary head Dudu Bosco who was appointed as the assistant coach at the new top-tier entity.

Ngabo has previously worked with Express, led St Andrews Gombe to USSSA final before suffering defeat to St.Mary’s Kitende in 2022 and served as Abdullah Mubiru’s assistant at Police FC.

Ngabo also served as the head coach at International University of East Africa (IUEA) in the University Football league.

This website has established that Ngabo will now have the onus on naming a goalkeeping coach and fitness coach.

Kiyimba Denis alias coach Mulangira will be retained among Ngabo’s technical team. Benard Adoyo will also be retained as the analyst coach, he has UEFA Pro license having trained in Scotland.

Ntugasaze finished second on the 2025/26 FUFA Big League table with 53 points to secure top-tier status.
