Young Africans are two games away from winning the 2025/26 NBC Tanzania Premier League title.

This follows a comprehensive 3-0 win over Azam FC in a league game played this Wednesday courtesy of goals from Ibrahim Hamad Bacca, Depú and Pacome Zouzoua.

Uganda Cranes offensive midfielder Allan Okello was replaced by Mohammed Damaro in the 66th minute of the game.

Okello has scored 11 league games for Yanga since joining the club from Vipers SC during the mid-season transfer window.

Okello who has also contributed seven assists in Yanga’s title surge, is three goals behind leading scorers Feisal ‘Feitoto’ Salum and Mossi Nduwumwe.

Yanga and Simba have subsequently booked the country’s coveted CAF Champions League berths while Azam FC will settle for the CAF Confederation Cup.

Young Africans are seeking their 5th straight league title having won the last four since the 2021/22 season.
