Four time Uganda Premier league champions URA FC have appointed Jimmy Kintu Mwera as their head coach.
Kintu replaces Hussein Mbalangu who left the role at the end of the 2025/26 season.
The former Express FC coach has been appointed as the tax collectors head coach for two years with an option for a renewal.

“URA FC is delighted to announce the appointment of Jimmy Kintu Mwera as the club’s new Head Coach on a two-year contract with an option for renewal. Everyone at URA FC warmly welcomes Jimmy Kintu Mwera and Godfrey Magoba to the Tax Collectors family and wishes them success in their new roles.” URA announced
Godfrey Magoba (Christian), will serve as Kintu’s assistant aslo on a two-year renewable contract.

Magoba is also a CAF A Licensed coach having previously served at Uganda Christian University Women’s Team, She Maroons FC, and Entebbe FC.
Kintu previously served as Uganda Christian University head coach and helping them to the University Football League title in 2019 and the Association of Uganda University Sports (AUSU) Championship in 2022.
He also enjoyed an outstanding spell at St. Noa Girls FC, where he won multiple trophies, including the FUFA Women Elite League title, securing promotion to the FUFA Women Super League.
