SC Villa are set to part ways with five first team players in this transfer window, Swift Sports Uganda understands.
Assistant captains Diego Misi Ssemugera, Brady Jeans Wokorach and Charles Lwanga are currently officially out of contract at the 17-time record champions.
Frank Mulimi and midfielder Ali Bayo are deemed surplus to requirements. Both have been notified to look for other destinations.
Ssemugera joined Villa at the start of the 2023/24 season from Police FC on a three year employment contract which expired last month.
Ssemugera is a former player of Lugazi Municipal, Lugazi Friends FC and Mayinde Spartans.

Lwanga is still in negotiations for a contract renewal but two UPL sides are desperate for his dear signature.

Goalkeeper Wokorach is not expected to extend his stay at Villa following expiration of his contract.
During his time at club, he won the 2023/24 league title and is remembered for his penalty save away to BUL FC as Villa triumphed 1-0 on their way to the title in that same season ending a 20-year title drought.
Wokorach is also a former NEC FC custodian where he played a vital role as the Bugolobi based side gained topflight football in the 2022/23 season, in fact he managed nine clean sheets for the side in the Big League that season.

He has struggled for playing time during the 2025/26 season with Villa head coach Zeljko Kovacevic deploying David Lukwago as his first choice.
Bayo returned to Villa at the start of last term but has failed to impress the Serbian tactician who reportedly decided to let him leave.
After his first stint at SC Villa, Bayo found solace at NEC FC in 2023 helping them gain topflight division football in the 2022/23 season.
He later joined Lugazi FC where he played a vital role for the side helping them secure UPL football after finishing in the top three positions in the 2023/24 FUFA Big League.
Bayo is a former St. Mary Kitende player who also featured for Lungujja Galaxy in the Kampala Regional League.
Mulimi has also been told to depart the club, he joined the Jogoos from Entebbe UPPC.
Villa has already parted ways with Elvis Ngonde who joined 13-time league champions KCCA FC as a free agent on a three year employment contract.
