Ojara to stay at Villa after ACL Injury Recovery

SC Villa have rewarded versatile player Denis Ojara with a new employment contract after recovering from the Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL).

Ojara joined the 17-time league champion in August 2023 from Onduparaka but tore his Anterior Cruciate Ligament [ACL] during the a pre-season Fufa Super 8 game against Maroons.

He has put pen to paper on a three new year contract at the record league champions, that will see him stay at the club until 2029.

Ojara can be deployed as a forward and sometimes serve as a defender.

Besides Onduparaka and Villa, Ojara played at Lugazi Municipal and Friends FC in the Regional League before joining Vipers SC.

He was later released by the Venoms and joined Tooro United whom he helped earn promotion from Big League to the Uganda Premier league for the 2021/22 season.

Ojara studied at Gulu High School, Bishop Negri, Lugazi based Hands of Grace and lately St Mary’s SS Kitende where he won the Copa Coca cola championship in 2019 that where held in Jinja district.

The Jogoos have already boosted their squad with the acquisition of John Asiimwe from Express FC and FUFA Big League top scorer for 2025/26 season Isaac Gumperom.
