The best performers of the 2023/24 Pepsi University Football League were rewarded on Tuesday at the awards Gala held at Kati Kati Restaurant in Lugogo.
The event was graced by AUUS president, Penninah Kabenge and other AUUS executive officials.
Uganda Christian University midfielder Geoffrey Gagganga was named as the Most Valuable player of the campaign.
Gagganga helped UCU reach the Final of the competition losing 3-1 to Nkumba University also scooped the best midfielder of the tournament accolade and was named in the best eleven of the season.
After excelling in his final season in the University league, the exciting midfielder will now eye a move to the topflight division.
Obwana John Andrew (Nkumba University) was the best goalkeeper while his teammate Lubega Ismail clinched the best defender accolade.
Nkumba University head coach Sulaiman Bbosa was named as the coach of the season.
