Kenya Premier League side AFC Leopards have completed the signing of goalkeeper Tom Ikara from BUL FC.
Ikara is joining AFC Leopards as a direct replacement for fellow Ugandan Cleo James Ssetuba who recently left the club after one season.
The lanky shot stopper is expected to add a rich experience into The Leopards as their search for their first league title in 28 years.
Ikara returned to BUL FC at the start of the season from Ethiopia’s Sidama Bunna and made 12 clean sheets from the 25 games he played.
He also previously played for KCCA FC, Police FC, Kirinya Jinja SS and Mbarara City.
Ikara becomes the third Ugandan player at AFC Leopards after striker Sam Ssenyonjo and Taddeo Lwanga who was recently signed from Vipers SC.
AFC Leopards finished second on the Kenya Premier League table last season with five points behind the eventual champions Gor Mahia.
